Microsoft Excel Programming and Data Wrangling with VBA VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) enables you to enhance and extend the capabilities of Microsoft® Excel® and other applications in the Microsoft® Office application suite. You can use VBA to perform tasks that would be difficult or impossible to do using only worksheet functions, and you can automate a wide range of tasks involving the collection, processing, analysis, and visualization of data. This course will give you a good foundation for understanding, creating, and using VBA in your own Excel workbooks, show you how to work with data across different applications, and how to package the macros and functions you create so you can back them up, move them to other computers, and share them with other users.
Power BI is a business analytics service by Microsoft. It aims to provide interactive visualizations and business intelligence capabilities with an interface simple enough for end users to create their own reports and dashboards. With Power BI Desktop, you connect to data (usually multiple data sources), shape that data (with queries that build insightful, compelling data models), and use that model to create reports (which others can leverage, build upon, and share). Power Bi is an add-on to your existing Microsoft version.
Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) is a programming language that is used throughout Microsoft Power BI, PowerPivot, Power Query and Excel for creating calculated columns, measures, and custom tables. It is a collection of functions, operators, and constants that can be used in a formula, or expression, to calculate and return one or more values.
Excel Dashboard As the name implies, a dashboard gathers multiple data sources, including Excel, into a single interface. That means you can immediately see a detailed overview of your business in one quick glance. Better yet, it reduces the amount of time it takes to compile reports, saving you time.
Power Pivot is an Excel add-in you can use to perform powerful data analysis and create sophisticated data models. With Power Pivot, you can mash up large volumes of data from various sources, perform information analysis rapidly, and share insights easily.
ACCESSIBILITY USING ADOBE ACROBAT
The Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA) became law in December 2013. This landmark legislation provides a process to remove barriers affecting people with disabilities and many other citizens. The Manitoba government is committed to achieving significant accessibility progress by 2023.
There are different timelines for organizations to meet the standard:
- The Manitoba government will demonstrate leadership, complying within one year, by May 1, 2023.
- Public sector organizations, libraries and educational institutions must comply by May 1, 2024.
- Private sector, non-profit organizations and small municipalities must comply by May 1, 2025.
This unique program trains the user to meet the regulations being set out by individual and government organizations required by the Accessibility guidelines being set out by the province when using Adobe Acrobat to create shareable, or digital content.

Microsoft Visio is a diagramming and vector graphics application and is part of the Microsoft Office family. Microsoft Visio is a tool that allows you to create professional diagrams and flowcharts
Microsoft OneNote is a program for free-form information gathering and multi-user collaboration. It gathers users’ notes, drawings, screen clippings, and audio commentaries. Notes can be shared with other OneNote users over the Internet or a network.
Microsoft Outlook, or simply Outlook, is a personal information manager from Microsoft, available as a part of the Microsoft Office suite. Primarily an email application, it also includes a calendar, task manager, contact manager, note taking, journal, and web browsing.
